The room at Te Moenga Lodge was cozy and comfortable, with a flat-screen TV that had plenty of satellite channels for entertainment. It felt like my own little hideaway, perfect for unwinding after a long day of exploring. The private bathroom was clean and well-equipped, with a hairdryer and free toiletries that made me feel pampered.
Personally, I found one downside during my stay at Te Moenga Lodge. While the room had a flat-screen TV, I didn't use it much as I prefer to spend my time outdoors exploring the beautiful surroundings.

Friendly hosts, Cheryl and Phil, shared travel stories. Fresh and customized breakfast exceeded expectations. Breathtaking views. Spa pool on deck overlooks lake and town. Bonus: sweet, well-behaved dogs greet guests. 10/10, will return.

They even upgraded our room to a suite with a stunning view. the apartment itself was top-notch - comfortable, spacious, and had all the amenities we needed. The location was also a big plus, with breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere. And lastly, the breakfast was absolutely delicious, with lots of variety and made with love. we couldn't have asked for a better Christmas experience!

The rooms were spotless and well-maintained, with a big and comfortable bed that made me feel like I was at home. The interior and exterior design of the lodge were amazing, creating a beautiful atmosphere. The view from the lodge was spectacular, with breathtaking scenery of the lake and mountains. the hosts were welcoming, friendly, and provided excellent hospitality throughout my stay.
It's important to note that some guests may have an issue with the presence of large dogs at the lodge. While the dogs were friendly, they may not be suitable for those who are not fans of dogs or have had negative experiences in the past.

We were amazed by the stunning view from our room at Te Moenga Lodge. It was by far the best view we have ever had during our travels. The room itself was beautifully furnished with top-notch amenities and a luxurious bathroom. We also appreciated the little personal touches like the breakfast service and homemade cookies. The hosts, Phil and Cheryl, were incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make us feel like family. They even made dinner reservations for us and offered to drop us off in town. The swimming pool and well-maintained grounds added to the overall experience. We can't wait to go back!

Cheryl and Phil were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home right away. The views from the lounge and the hot tub on the patio were absolutely breathtaking and made our stay in Taupo perfect. We got upgraded to a chalet, which had a large living area and a well-sized bedroom. The property was very inviting, and although it wasn't the most convenient location for tourist activities, it was quiet and relaxing. The owners' attention to detail and their caring approach to our needs were second to none. The breakfast spread each morning was delicious, with fresh fruits, breads, hard-boiled eggs, and my favorite - the fresh baked croissants. There was even an electric kettle and cookware/kitchen utensils in the chalet for our convenience. The flat-screen TV with Apple TV hookup was a nice touch, and the heated blanket on the comfortable bed kept us warm. The outdoor dining area was lovely, even though we didn't get to use it due to the cold weather. The location of the property, overlooking the lake, made for amazing stargazing, and we enjoyed being away from the main city. The recommended restaurant within walking distance served the finest meal we've had in a decade. our stay at Te Moenga Lodge was truly mind-blowing, and we felt like we were at home away from home. Thank you, Phil and Cheryl, for your hospitality and a wonderful experience. We will definitely be returning in the future!
