We had an absolutely amazing Christmas stay at this hotel! the hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. They even upgraded our room to a suite with a stunning view. the apartment itself was top-notch - comfortable, spacious, and had all the amenities we needed. The location was also a big plus, with breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere. And lastly, the breakfast was absolutely delicious, with lots of variety and made with love. we couldn't have asked for a better Christmas experience!

It's important to note that some guests may have an issue with the presence of large dogs at the lodge. While the dogs were friendly, they may not be suitable for those who are not fans of dogs or have had negative experiences in the past.

The owners' attention to detail and their caring approach to our needs were second to none. The breakfast spread each morning was delicious, with fresh fruits, breads, hard-boiled eggs, and my favorite - the fresh baked croissants. There was even an electric kettle and cookware/kitchen utensils in the chalet for our convenience. The flat-screen TV with Apple TV hookup was a nice touch, and the heated blanket on the comfortable bed kept us warm. The outdoor dining area was lovely, even though we didn't get to use it due to the cold weather. The location of the property, overlooking the lake, made for amazing stargazing, and we enjoyed being away from the main city. The recommended restaurant within walking distance served the finest meal we've had in a decade. our stay at Te Moenga Lodge was truly mind-blowing, and we felt like we were at home away from home.
